What Eye Shape Are You?

Almond Eye Shape

Almond

Most of these eye types are shaped exactly like an almond nut! These eye types are considered to have 'perfect' proportions and any eye technique will work.
Hooded Eye Shape

Hooded

These eye types don't have an apparent eye crease, a fold of skin hangs over the socket line, so no visible lid. Aim for depth on the eye. Darker shades into the crease to contour the area.
Close Set Eye Shape

Close Set

Eyes narrower than one eye width are normally regarded as close set. Use lighter shades on the inner corner and extend the outer corners of the eye by using darker shades. Line outer corners. Corner eyelashes would work well here if required.

Deep Set Eye Shape

Deep Set

This eye sits deep into the socket with a small lid. Use lighter shades on the lid and inner corner. Use medium shadow just above the crease, and a darker shade to contour only at the outer crease, and move slightly outward.
Downturned Eye Shape

Downturned

Eyes have a slight drop at the outer corner of the eye. Focus the shading up and out. Apply liner close to the upper lash line and blend shadow across the socket line in the outer two thirds of the eye to 'lift' the eyes.
Protruding Eye Shape

Protruding

Eyes have a 'bulge' from the socket to the lash line. Use medium to darker shades here.
